The school year is ending, Prom is next week! I can’t wait. It’s just coming like speeding light. I just want to leave TMA I’m tired of doing work, I just need a break. Summertime is coming, in know it’s going to be more fun than it was last year. I can’t wait. College! ahhh I don’t even have words for what I am feeling. I’m still going to miss it thou. Closer to the end of the year

SOOOOOOO It’s almost to an end. THE SCHOOL YEAR, OMG! It went by sooo fast I can’t believe it. The closer it gets the more I’m saying to myself am I ready for what the world has to offer me. It is so scary. Thinking about college and being an adult. My mother told me that high school would end in a snap of a finger but i didn’t listen, I never knew it would come this fast. I am really going to Miss high school and the crazy things, and people in Thurgood Marshall Academy. It’s been a journey and many conflicts faced. I met a few college students who said they glad they left and they don’t miss it as much as they use to. I hope it’s like that for me, because it’s very emotional. Hopefully I’m strong enough for what’s out there in this cold world.

Definition of economics

This week in economics class we were reading about the definition of economics. Economics is a social science that studies how individuals, governments, firms and nations make choices on allocating scarce resources to satisfy their unlimited wants. We also read how economics can be broken down into macroeconomics. Macroeconomics is the study of individual economic units such as households and firms. We also learned about economic growth and Economic development. Economic growth is an increase in the quantity of resources. Economic development is a qualitative measure of a country’s standard of living which takes into account many factors such as education and health. I kind of enjoyed this topic. It was nice to learn something new.

Regents Prep

Today I went to regent’s prep and I feel like it’s really helping me. Before i did any regents prep I use to go home and just read about something that had to do with U.S history. I realized that what my version of studying was not working for me after i went to regent’s prep. I realized that I needed to practice doing regents questions and documents. Right at this moment I know I have no choice but to pass this regents because it’s holding me back and putting weight on my shoulders. I regret messing up and now I have to make it up it’s a priority. I know all I do is talk but know I have to show myself that nothing can’t be done if I don’t do it and put my all into it. I'm going to do what i have to do and pass the regent's

Why Is It Still Cold !!??

OMG! It is the beginning of April, and its spring. The weather hardly changed. It’s still cold out. I can’t wait till it gets warmer. I can’t take it anymore! I swear this has been the longest "Winter" Ever. I’m tired of wearing big coats and extra socks under my stockings like come on! It’s time for it to get warm already. I know people are fed up just like me, because this is really ridiculousness. I can’t wait for the nice summer nights with everyone outside laughing and having a good time. The family cookouts with music and a lot of food. The water parks... ahhhh I can see it now!  The spring is my favorite season, in the summer it be way to hot but I can deal with it. I rather summer than winter any day!

Native Americans have the highest percentage  of their population in prison, Latinos and women are the fastest growing populations in the prison system. There have been new prisons which are being forced upon rural communities to revive there economies. All of these statistics is giving the U.S the highest incarceration rate in the entire world.

CRR(Eonomics)

In economics class we are discussing the history of prison labor in the united states. After 1861-1865 civil war, a system was introduced in order to continue the slavery tradition. Free slaves were charged with not carrying out their sharecropping commitments or petty thievery, which were not proven, and then were hired out for cotton picking, working in mines and building railroads. about 88% of hired-out convicts were black, African American. in Alabama about 93% of hired out miners were also black, African American. During the pot-civil war period, Jim crow racial segregation laws were imposed on every state, with legal segregation in schools, housing, marriages and many other aspects of daily life.

Class related response (Forensics)

In forensics class we are currently talking and observing hairs and fibers. We discussed how hair is encountered to be physical evidence in a variety of crimes. First you would need to observe the human hair, which is very difficult to individualize on a single head or body. Now if the hair is removed then there will be blood or skin at the root, which DNA testing can be performed. If a hair is properly collected at a crime scene, it can provide strong evidence for placing a person at a crime scene. hair is an appendage of  the skin that grows out of a structure, known as the hair follicle. The length of a hair extends from the root and continues into a shaft and subjected to the most intense examination by forensic scientist. Most hair observations, with the help of the cuticle, can be performed with a microscope.
